What is AppShopper.com?

Everyone gather ’round. I’ve got a neat secret to tell you about. It’s one of the coolest new websites out there for the iPhone. Of course that is only after your very own iPhonenuts.com, right?! I mean where else would you find awesome reviews on the iPhone? I had this thought the other day as I st in class and tried not to doze off… What if there were a website that let us know when apps have been updated, even apps you don’t own. Then what if it listed what those fixes were? What if this said website let you know if the price changed on the app? Just say and app went from 1.99 to FREE! Or was having some kind of promotion where it was only FREE for that week. Well it’s my joy to tell you there are no what ifs for a website like this, there is one out there! This website is a new, little, gem that the world famous Arn from Macrumors.com has started up. So hurry up and fire up your favorite browser and check out AppShopper.com, one of the coolest things I’ve found lately for us iPhone lovers.
I’ve discovered this by scrounging Macrumors and was so delighted to find something like this. I love free apps, and a lot of these apps I’ve found thanks to this site I’ll be reviewing later this week. This website came from the removal of the ability to view all apps from the app store. I know for one it’s made it harder for me to find a lot of great new apps. I bet I’m overlooking so many great ones, just imagine what kind of fun my iPhone is missing out on. Thankfully this website has come along to fill that void and bridge the gap for people like you and I.
The website itself is still an infant. It has just got off the ground within the last week, but it’s already been bookmarked on my computer. New features are going to be definitely added as time goes on. Things such as a search feature, the ability to rate the apps, and also the ability to leave comments on apps. Hopefully without having to buy them first, haha! Some users have even requested a native app for their iPhones, how awesome would that be? I, for one, might even dish out money for this website in a native app. The website itself already is beautifully designed and layed out. You can easily find all of the updated apps at once, or just the paid, or just the free ones! Or just simply organize by updated, price changed, or if it’s a brand new app. It really is a joy to use and I can’t quit telling you how excited I am that something like this exist. Just check it out for me and see for yourself.
