If there is no video chat, then at least give us video recording right? Then some kind of app could be made to use the video camera to allow us to video chat through a 3rd party app. Thanks for the comment!

I hope so as well. It was never confirmed but their track record says today is the day. We'll see though, are you able to keep up with all of the live coverage?

I’ve also heard of that chance, but if there is no iPhone in 2 hours it will be a catastrophe. As long as the newest iPhone is better overall than the last version, I'll be more than satisfied. Sure I like surprises as most people do, but I also know how to face reality. OLED displays and graphics processors will eventually come, but Apple has profit margins to make and supply chains to fill with parts that are readily available in quantity.Video chat sounds cool but is it really necessary? Can the current 3G network actually handle that sort of traffic. It could be made to work only on a WiFi connection or if the iPhone has a fast enough processor, to compress the stream before going over a 3G network. If it doesn't work well, then Apple shouldn't bother having it. I don't think the carrier infrastructure is there to properly do video chat.Anyway, if Steve gets up on stage just to say hello and he's doing well, that will certainly make my day. That alone should boost Apple's share price and help sell the iPhone. A low cost iPhone with a low-cost plan will do the rest.

I sure hope there is a video chat capable iPhone, but I won’t be all that disappointed if there isn’t.
