Great points that are also concerns for this iPhone Nano. There is definitely people out there that game Apple, especially Apple stock in their favor. They start rumors or squash them based on how they want the stock to react.

But this is how Apple has always been, very secretive. They do say sell on news, buy on rumors. I agree with you, there are people out there that just throw rumors around so your not off base at all.

I am glad you brought this up. I have been wondering this for quite a while and don't think the rumor holds any water at all. They are still unable to meet sufficient supply of their iPhone 3G line and they still have to release it into 40 something other countries before the end of the year? Why would they be wasting their efforts on releasing a new product line effectively splitting their potential user base?

Here's my conspiracy theory:

I think it's anti-Apple people starting all of these rumors. Why would they do that you ask? They want to get people hyped up so that when it doesn't come true they get disappointed. I think the same thing happened in the month before June 11th when all of the rumors and pictures of the "new" iPhone 3G were floating around showing off Video Conferencing with the front-facing camera and multiple color schemes...

What's the first people complained about when the phone was announced?

"What?!?! No front-facing video camera for videoconferencing?" "Only two colors?"

There are people out their that try to hype up features for Apple so they can do nothing but disappoint.

ok...I am done here. Am I way off base?
