How Fast Can You Build A Skyscraper

Happy Monday to everyone out on the internet this morning, or whenever you read this. It may not even be Monday where you are at, but here I am exhausted sitting in a computer lab in between classes. No matter my level of sleepiness I can always bring you something new about the iPhone. This time it’s an app made by the people at Skyworks, appropriately title Skyscrapers.
When I first saw this app, I’ll admit I was a little confused at what I was supposed to do with it. So if you are feeling as I was, stick it out. The game makes sense quickly. At first I thought it was going to be a tetris like game where I would have to move building parts around to form a skyscraper. No worries, it’s not THAT complex.
This is the main menu, it has buttons to let you play the game. If you choose quick play it’s kind of boring. It only let’s you build one building and then you are done, but it is definitely good practice. If you are like me though you want to get into this game and start building a city full of Skyscrapers.
Here’s how you play, and like I said it’s not too complex. It really just plays off of your reflexes, so sharpen them up before playing. As you can kind of see each section of the building continuously slides across until you tap it into place. The goal is obviously to be quick and accurate, thus gaining more points per building. The thing is that as your skyscraper gets higher and higher, the sections of the building go faster and faster. Imagine once you are on a really high building how fast the top pieces will be going. Crazy!
This is me beating a level, and adding a TINY building to my skyscrape. Eventually you want to have that thing filled with Skyscrapers. I hope at least you can get farther than I have so far pretty quickly. Once you’ve completed a building it will save your score, just enter your name and that’s all. You’re off and climbing the score boards. Kind of similar to the game, build higher buildings mover higher up on the score boards.
Last but not least, here is a pathetic shot of my city scape. It’s looking really lonely right now, as I’ve barely built any building in career mode. But you can see my flagship model hanging out in the middle there. She’s a beauty, she even has some kind of antenna on the top of her. The game cost $1.99, and if you love puzzle solving then get up in the app store and download this. It’s a cheap investment to help stave off boredom, like what I’m about to experience in the classroom. Enjoy the Monday and thanks for reading.
