Apple Releasing a “Media Pad” & “iPhone Lite”

April 29, 2009 by Ryan Ray · Leave a Comment

Welcome back to some more rumors about an iPhone Lite/Nano, and potentially a new device dubbed the “Media Pad.” I know at one time I said I would no longer talk about the iPhone Nano, but I guess I lied. This rumor that I’ve picked up from Macrumors.com is worthy of another discussion, as it doesn’t solely focus on the iPhone Nano, it brings in many new angles on the future of this device or devices.

What The iPhone Needs; Wiimote Capabilities

April 28, 2009 by Ryan Ray · Leave a Comment

If you ever stop and think about the technology that is untapped in the iPhone, and the possibilities that could come from taking full advantage of these. Well they really are endless. For example look at how simple the wiimote is. It has all of the controls we are used to from Nintendo built in, just in case you are in classic mode and want the old style remote. The great part about the wiimote though is the gestures. This made playing Tennis, Golf, Baseball, almost realistic. If you swung the wiimote like a golf club it was similar to a real club. If you took a swing with the wiimote it was almost like hitting a real home run. This improved a lot of the gameplay in games, and is guaranteed to be the factor that pushed the wiimote to the top. Even without HD output like the PS3 or XBOX 360.

iPhone To Have A Front Facing Camera?

April 20, 2009 by Ryan Ray · 1 Comment

This was the biggest rumor in the months leading to the iPhone 3G launch. So many people were convinced that the iPhone would have a front facing camera. Made specially for video chatting. The iPhone was going to go 3G so video chatting was and still is entirely possible. I remember just about every rumor site had a mock up of what the new iPhone would look like, video camera and all. Personally  I didn’t see and still don’t really see the need to video chat with the iPhone. To me it seems as if it’s more of a novelty for the iPhone than anything truly useful. This may be in part why Apple hasn’t put a camera on the front. We all know though that Apple changes their mind from time to time, and apparently this patent is proof of that. Will we see this come to life on the next generation of the iPhone or any iPhone, I don’t know only time will tell. So let’s check out what this is about.

What The iPhone Needs; All In One Remote

April 15, 2009 by Ryan Ray · 2 Comments

Welcome again to my semi regular, semi not regular at all forum where I just mainly blabber about what I think would be cool for the iPhone to have. Sometimes it’s very unrealistic sometimes it’s not, so just entertain me for a minute and see what you think. Today we’re going to talk about the possibilities of expanding the remote functions on the iPhone.

How To Preview Apps On The iPhone

Happy Sunday to everyone in internet land. It’s a cold and rainy Sunday here, but thankfully no snow so far. I’m glad no one has helped me out on my previous post, seriously help me decide if I should jailbreak or not. All my experience will be coming right back here if I do jailbreak. Anyway, Sundays are a lazy day for me and with that I’ve been thinking. I ask myself what would I like to see from the iPhone that we don’t have right now. Sometimes it’s stupid features, like the iPhone webserver. Other times it’s in line with what a lot of other people want on their iPhone. So let’s talk about one of those things today.

iPhone 3.0 Finally!

March 17, 2009 by Ryan Ray · Leave a Comment

Well well well, I don’t believe it. The day has come and all has been made right with the iPhone. Today Apple hosted an event where they gave us a sneak peak into the new iPhone software, the iPhone OS 3.0. The event kicked off at 1 Eastern time here and many great things were announced. Sadly they aren’t coming to the iPhone this very day, but shortly in the future we will all enjoy an even better version of our current iPhones. As a side note, if all goes well I will be selling my iPhone 3G before the announcement of the 3rd version of the iPhone. If you want one you can purchase mine! Anyway let’s go over what was announced today.

The New iPhone is Here…Sort of

February 13, 2009 by Ryan Ray · Leave a Comment

Like I’ve mentioned here before on iPhone Nuts, there is evidence that a new iPhone is coming this year. Not only has an official employee from Apple said it, in so many words, but it’s been caught roaming on some prominent websites. The biggest thing I believe we should be paying attention to is one of the reasons that Apple gave us when explaining it’s reasons for leaving Macworld. At their last Macworld Apple said something along the lines that Macworld didn’t coincide with any of their product cycles anymore, and within that they mentioned the iPhone product cycle being in June. This to me is a clear cut statement saying expect a new iPhone every June. So far this has held true. The original iPhone launched in June, then the update to iPhone 3G was on June 9th.

“Latitude” Tracking Coming To iPhone

February 6, 2009 by Ryan Ray · Leave a Comment

If you are a Macrumors fan and frequent reader, or even just a big Google fanboy then you already know about this. Google has made some news this week when the rumor came through describing a new iPhone app made by Google. The name so far for the app is Latitude, it’s a location based app that let’s you interact with your friends, mainly Gmail contacts, and see what they are doing based on location information that they share with Latitude.

What The iPhone Needs; Bluetooth Transfers

January 26, 2009 by Ryan Ray · Leave a Comment

Once again I’m here griping about something the iPhone should have had since day one. Apple really is taking their sweet time giving us some basic stuff the iPhone needs. Perhaps they are legally binded to not be able to do certain things on the iPhone. I know something like allowing free ringtones would go against their ringtone selling business. I mean why allow us to have something that should be free when you can make us pay for them, JERKS! This may be the same reasoning behind a lot of things Apple isn’t giving us for free.

iPhone Nano in June, But Not In The US

January 19, 2009 by Ryan Ray · 4 Comments

I promise you this may be the last thing that I write on the iPhone nano, atleast for now. Perhaps one day the iPhone nano will appear, and be a real product. But until then, we’ll all sit on our butts and speculate. This will be my official third post on this rumored device, and it comes across as quite peculiar to me so I wanted to give you my thoughts on this rumor and put it to rest!
