Starbucks On The iPhone

October 8, 2010 by Ryan Ray

We’ve talked about Starbucks a little bit before, you can read a full on app review over here. But going a long with our series of apps you can order from this app takes a little different turn. Sadly you can’t order from the Starbucks app, but that’s why I wanted to bring it to everyone’s attention. I think you should be able to place a drink order and be able to stop by and pick it up without waiting. The current app allows you to get pretty close to that. You can build a custom drink, or order a familiar, old standby. You can check out different roasts, find store, check out food, even look for jobs! Sadly like said, no way to order and get your stuff at your local Starbucks. If you are out there Starbucks listen up and implement this somehow.

Pizza Hut App

October 6, 2010 by Ryan Ray

Here we are again continuing with our short series of shopping apps. I’m trying to feature ones that let you order from your iPhone since it’s somewhat of a shift in the way we use our smart phones. No more hassle of communication errors when ordering, or waiting in line. Order by tapping and pick it up on your way by. The ultimate convenience!

Since I’m a college student, and we college students apparently worship Pizza I thought we’d talk about the Pizza Hut app right now. This app has one functionality and that is to get you to order Pizza Hut no matter where you are. So let’s take a look at how you do that.

Wether that be food, drinks, clothing, etc… I will try and highlight what they offer through the iPhone and what is unique about each. So let’s get started!

Payments On The iPhone With Square

October 2, 2010 by Ryan Ray

I must be on the kick of talking about money apps because here comes another one from my genius brain. There has been a lot of hype built up around this company called Square who had developed a system to take credit card payments via the iPhone and iPad. I’m sure ,if they aren’t already, they’ll be making their way to all Droid devices too. Before you go on check out this video about Square.

So now that you’ve seen just how they want you to use it, let’s take a quick little walk through so you can see what the app looks like.
