Lose Weight On Your iPhone

February 23, 2009 by Ryan Ray · Leave a Comment

If you are anything like me, which could be a good thing I guess, then you are very interested in your own personal health and well being. I know that I am a big nerd, I think technology is great, and usually us nerds don’t get out much. Instead we live through the internet. Well I must be a different breed because I do love the outdoors and I love to get exercise. I play a lot of ultimate frisbee, not to mention drumming for countless hours. It’s all a good workout. Did you know drumming boosts the strength of your immune system? It has to do something with the repetitive movements, don’t ask me how I was just told so. I’ve even recently started getting into running on a regular basis. At least as regular as I can manage being a full time student and all. My health is important to me and I’m sure it’s important to my friends and family.

How Good Is A Rolando?

Happy late Valentine’s Day to all of you iPhone lovers out there. I hope if you have a significant other that you had a great day of love and all that clicheness, haha. I spent my Valentine’s Day in Cincinatti, Ohio playing ultimate frisbee for 6 hours straight. Honestly it was a lot of fun, I’ve found lately that I don’t so much enjoy cliche, romanticness, smooches, etc… so frisbee was good enough for me, haha. Is there anyone from around the Cinci area? We had one lady on our team at this tourney and I’m sure she enjoyed being around all of us guys for her Valentine’s Day just as much as we did. Besides Valentine’s and frisbee I discovered my new favorite game on the iPhone, let me tell you about it.

The New iPhone is Here…Sort of

February 13, 2009 by Ryan Ray · Leave a Comment

Like I’ve mentioned here before on iPhone Nuts, there is evidence that a new iPhone is coming this year. Not only has an official employee from Apple said it, in so many words, but it’s been caught roaming on some prominent websites. The biggest thing I believe we should be paying attention to is one of the reasons that Apple gave us when explaining it’s reasons for leaving Macworld. At their last Macworld Apple said something along the lines that Macworld didn’t coincide with any of their product cycles anymore, and within that they mentioned the iPhone product cycle being in June. This to me is a clear cut statement saying expect a new iPhone every June. So far this has held true. The original iPhone launched in June, then the update to iPhone 3G was on June 9th.

How To Print From The iPhone

February 9, 2009 by Ryan Ray · 5 Comments

For some of us iPhone users when we hear, “You can print from you iPhone,” we say umm so what. I fall into that category. Only because out of the almost two years I’ve been using my iPhone I’ve yet to come across a situation where I’ve wanted to print something from my iPhone. On the other hand there are plenty of people out there who use their iPhone for everything and that must include being able to print from it. It might just be me that hates printing, but let’s cover two ways to print from the iPhone

If you are a Macrumors fan and frequent reader, or even just a big Google fanboy then you already know about this. Google has made some news this week when the rumor came through describing a new iPhone app made by Google. The name so far for the app is Latitude, it’s a location based app that let’s you interact with your friends, mainly Gmail contacts, and see what they are doing based on location information that they share with Latitude.

What The iPhone Needs; Wireless Charging/Syncing

February 3, 2009 by Ryan Ray · Leave a Comment

Duh Apple, if you were waiting for the perfect time to release wireless syncing to the masses then you missed it. You missed your big chance to take the spotlight and say, “wireless charging was impossible until we came along…” Just imagine all of the free press you would have got for allowing us to charge our iPhones wirelessly. We all know the press eats up Apple news. Anytime Steve Jobs goes for a walk NBC, ABC, and the rest treat it almost as good as Obama. Haha, but now Palm has beaten Apple to the wireless charging, and it’s been boring.
